Hand-cutting large runs takes hours of layout and leaves room for error. Our Autometrix automated cutting table cuts your parts directly from your digital files, so every piece matches the pattern and the hundredth part matches the first.
We use the same table for our own awnings and patio covers in Santa Ana, and we offer it to other shops and manufacturers as a contract fabric cutting service. Bring your own rolls or have us supply the material.

Preparing your cut files
We accept these file types:
Not sure your file is ready? Send it anyway. We’ll check it and tell you if anything needs to change before we cut.
- Draw parts at full 1:1 scale and note your units (inches or mm)
- Use closed outlines for every part you want cut
- Include seam and hem allowances in the outline
- List the quantity needed for each part
- Mark grain, stripe or pattern direction where it matters
- Tell us the material, color and roll width

A working fabrication shop, not a middleman
Extreme Canvas & Awnings is a family-run shop that designs, cuts, sews and installs awnings, patio covers and shade across Orange County. Our cutting table runs our own production work too.
When you send us your cutting, you’re working directly with the people running the table, at the address on our door.
What file formats do you accept?
We cut from DXF, AI, PDF and SVG files. Draw parts at 1:1 scale with closed outlines and list the quantity for each part.
Can you supply the fabric?
Yes. You can send us your own material, or we can source the fabric for your job and include it in the quote.
Do you work with shops outside Orange County?
Yes. Ship your material and files to our Santa Ana shop and we’ll ship the cut parts back to you.
What materials can you cut?
Acrylic awning fabrics, vinyl and coated fabrics, shade cloth and mesh, canvas, cushion foam and clear vinyl. If you’re unsure about a material, send us a sample.
Is there a minimum order or a set turnaround time?
It depends on the job, the material and our current schedule. Call or send us your files and we’ll give you a quote and a timeline.
How do I get a quote?
