Awning repair in Orange County. Don’t replace it yet.

Torn fabric, a sagging frame, or a motor that’s stopped responding doesn’t always mean you need a new awning. We inspect first and repair whenever it makes sense.

We find the real cause before we recommend anything.

Most awnings can be repaired

A worn or damaged awning doesn’t automatically need replacing. A new fabric cover on a solid frame, a straightened arm, or a serviced motor can bring it back for far less than a new unit.

We repair residential window and door awnings, patio covers, retractable awnings and commercial storefront canopies, including brands and installs that aren’t our own. Fabric work is cut and sewn in our Santa Ana workshop, and most other repairs are handled on site.

Signs you need a repair

Don’t wait for it to get worse

Catching these early usually means a cheaper, faster fix.

Torn or ripped fabric

Small tears spread fast in wind and sun. A patch or re-cover now can prevent a full fabric replacement later.

Sagging or pooling

Fabric that sags or pools water usually points to a tension or frame issue, not just wear.

Rust or bent arms

Corroded or bent frame components affect how the awning opens, closes, and holds up in wind.

Motor won’t respond

A retractable awning that hesitates, stalls, or won’t retract fully often needs a motor or mechanism repair.

Repair or replace?

We’ll tell you honestly

We inspect every awning before recommending anything. Repair is often the right call, but not always.

Repair makes sense when
  • The frame is structurally sound
  • Only the fabric is torn, faded, or stained
  • A motor or mechanism has failed but the housing is intact
  • Hardware has come loose or corroded
Replacement makes sense when
  • The frame is bent beyond repair or badly rusted
  • You’re changing size, style, or location entirely
  • Repair costs approach the price of a new unit
  • You want to upgrade to a motorized or larger system

FAQ

Awning repair questions

Have a different question? Call 714-820-3159.

Do you repair awnings you didn’t install?

Yes. We repair residential and commercial awnings from other installers and brands, not just our own work.

Is repairing an awning cheaper than replacing it?

Often, yes. If the frame is sound, a new fabric cover or a mechanism repair usually costs much less than a new awning. If repair costs approach the price of a new unit, we’ll tell you.

Can you put new fabric on my existing frame?

Yes. We cut and sew new Sunbrella fabric to fit your existing frame in our Santa Ana workshop. It’s one of our most common repairs.

Do you repair retractable awning motors?

Yes. We diagnose and repair motors, gearboxes and manual crank systems on retractable awnings, and replace worn brackets, cables and hand cranks.

Can you fix storm or wind damage?

Yes. We assess and repair damage after high winds or storms, including emergency temporary fixes when needed.

Is the repair done at my property?

Most repairs are handled on site. Fabric replacements and re-covers are sewn in our Santa Ana workshop and then installed on your frame.
